1st Day: Leh to Pangong Tso
It is a 6 hours ride from Leh where you pass the world’s third highest driveable pass (5.289 m). The lake 4.297 m (14.097 ft.) is the largest brackish lake in Asia. It is 6 to 7 km at the widest point and over 130 km long, much of which extends into the mountains of Tibet. It is bisected by international borders between India and China. The farthest point to which foreigners are permitted is also some 7 km along the southern shore from the head of the lake. Other attractions of this lake are the eastern cranes and other migratory black necked cranes birds. You will camp overnight at Pangong Tso.

2nd Day: Pangong to Shachkule Tangtse
Drive to Shachkule and visit to centuries old monastery. It’s famous for the unique traditions of its own styles. You will camp overnight at Tangtse village (40 km away from the lake).

3nd Day: Tangtse to Leh
Retrace the route to Leh. Visit on your way back the monasteries Hemis and Thiksey and Shey palace.
